How it works?

xEngine Administration Console

xEngine’s administration console is a custom-built web application which can be deployed anywhere on your network and has access to the message database. It provides the following functionalities for administrators:

Integration Dashboard

Monitors the health of the integration by giving the detail of the messages based on their status. For example, the number of inbound payloads, successful transformations/conversions, failures and pending messages.

Integration insights

Gives the timestamped event's details that occurred on every message, its final status and error details in the event of an error.

Dynamic Configurations

Setup required end systems configurations directly from the dashboard. These configurations include any service account credentials, end point URLs based on the adaptors for end systems and miscellaneous details required to enable successful communication of xEngine with these systems. Dynamic configuration solution makes configuration a breeze and widely accessible.

Field Mappings and Transformations

All the objects/entities needed and the fields which are needed to be synced between the systems. Business rules can be enabled or disabled according to the preferences.

Role Management

Add new users, manage roles and permissions of existing users. In order to maintain business hierarchies, different roles and permissions can be assigned to different users of xEngine based on their access privileges.

Integration is initiated from Salesforce on new case creation. Case will be pushed to xEngine using REST APIs. A message will be created in xEngine along with the supporting attachments. xEngine processing service picks up that message and sends it to PLM Agile adapter. A new case will be created and acknowledgment will be sent to SDFC. Case can be updated from both Agile PLM and SFDC, and will be synced across the systems.

SAP

Integration is initiated from source. The data is transformed according to the business logic and exported to the SAP adapter. It is converted into JSON and then REST API is called to transfer it to the destination system (SAP).

Oracle PDH

Integration is initiated from Oracle PDH. Whenever a CO is released it will be picked up by xEngine. xEngine parses and transforms it into a generic format to create a message. Based on mappings and their transformations defined a processing service pushes this message to EBS adapter. EBS adapter pushes this data to Oracle EBS using custom PL/SQL package.

Oracle EBS

Integration is initiated from Agile and on Change release sync Change Order (ECO, MCO), Parts, BOM, MFG Parts to Oracle EBS. Oracle EBS adapter used in this integration is one of the initial implementation that uses EBS Integration repository to call our custom EBS Package.

Microsoft Dynamics AX

Integration is initiated when Change Order is released from Agile and exported. xEngine Monitoring service imports the message and after applying transformations it is pushed to AX adapter by the processing service. AX adapter calls the Dynamics AX AIF services which push the data into response AX tables. Information like item cost/status will be synced from Dynamics AX to Agile PLM using a polling service on AX

Integration is initiated from Agile and on Change Order Implemented state upload data to ftp.

Cornerstone: It is responsible for filtering specific training documents based on the business rules which are defined in the adapter and then uploading the attachments on sFTP location.

Data will be exported in a specific file format by xEngine based on the configurations defined in the database.

Compliance Wire

Integration is initiated from Agile and on Change Order Implemented state upload data to FTP. Additional logic is implemented in preprocessor that will check for a certain attribute for qualification of document to be sync in CW sync. xEngine will filter documents along with attachments from the Change order data to create file feed.
Required attributes defined in mappings and transformation applied will export data in specific file format by xEngine scheduler. This feed file along with the attachments will be uploaded of CW FTP. Another polling service will monitor the response file from CW FTP and update the records in database accordingly.

Edunet

Integration is triggered from the source systems, xEngine adapter for Edunet filters the data and uploads the files on the specified location.

This adapter provides bi-directional support with Oracle PLM. Integration is triggered from source system when file is exported to xEngine where it is transformed and forwarded to Oracle PLM to create BOMs. Conversely, xEngine monitors Oracle PLM for changes and updates OrCAD database.

PADS Designer

Integration is triggered from the source system and files are forwarded to the PADS designer adapter. The specified business logics and transformations are applied before the payload is exported to MS Access database.

PLM Portal is a document repository by Xavor. It acts as a read-only version of Agile PLM with the ability to search, view and download parts/documents. It can be used to save licensing cost of Agile PLM. XEngine adapter for PLM Portal calls REST API to send documents, attachments, BOMs, and parts to the PLM Portal from xEngine.
